WHO:Tamgan Morgan, Simon, and River WHERE: The Avalon WHEN: Week 4, Monday, Morning WHY: The voices in River's head are telling her to get rid of the poison. (Translation: River's doing crazy things.) WARNING: Language, Chinese swear words
The sun had risen and chased all of the shadows away. The nocturnal creatures that swarmed over the water hole under the watch of the moon had gone to sleep, falling to the lullabies that the sweet poison sang to them as they swayed and danced until they were dizzy enough to fall down. They were beasts of some sort, all of them, and they were attracted to the King's palace because poison flowed from tiny waterfalls all over. They set offerings and were given poison, and with them and their offerings, the palace was becoming contaminated.
River could still hear the echoes of them. Their voices and their money and their fluids mingled together to leave a trail of death that threatened to take them all. She was quiet when she slipped out of bed, her bare feet falling silently on the floor as she followed the invisible trail to the living room where the hatch leading to Morgan's office was located. It was hidden by the shadows, but the whispers told her the way to go, so long as she would be quiet about it. The girl slipped into the king's office and then into the still and quiet of the empty bar, hearing the silent buzzing that didn't exist for normal ears in the back of her mind. No matter. She would have time.
Walking over behind the watering hole, River selected a bottle of poison, opening it with determination in her eyes and emptying it right onto the ground. When it was done, she let the bottle drop, shattering on the floor. On to the next. The battle would be won.
