Evienne kept her head turned to look out the window the entire ride home. She didn't want to look at the monster beside her. So instead she let her mind wander to thoughts of the people she knew for the millionth time this week. She knew she should just stop, the thoughts only making her heart ache more. Out of habit a hand moved up to her throat to touch a locket she had always worn, only to remember they had taken it away from her upon arrival.
Entering the house she looked around, jumping slightly when the door closed on their own accord. "This is not my home. My home was burned to the ground" she said bitterly. as he moved to sit, almost immediately she pulled off the damned leash and collar, soothing the irritated skin. She froze momentarily when she heard the others command. The logical part of her was saying to just do it, that it was inevitable. But the stubborn part of her won out like it usually did.
"No." she replied, looking over at him. "I am not a pet and I'm not property. I won't willingly let you order me around like some dog!"
