Alice beamed back at Laura, the first broad and unabashed smile she'd issued in a long time. Her song was something she loved to share, and it made her even happier when it pleased others.
The girl rose with Laura's aid, still smiling at her happily as led her to sit on the bed. The questions she asked weren't ones masters or mistresses often bothered to ask her, but it was nice to be asked, wasn't it? She only feared that her answers would be somewhat boring to her mistress. Her life was a fantasy and a storm of beautiful dreams to her, but the reality of it was rather disappointing and dull.
"There's not much to tell, Miss," she admitted honestly, looking back down at her hands bashfully. "I grew up in the human camps, but I wandered away when I was young and was brought here. I've had, um, maybe a little bit of difficulty adjusting, b-but it's not because I don't like it!" Alice was quick to assure Laura of that much, and it was the truth. "I just, um, I have some problems. With most things that aren't music related."
