Emerson initially wondered if he should've felt weird about the kiss. Allison was an incredibly attractive, young woman, and he'd be lying to more than himself if he tried to pretend that he wasn't attracted to her. The guilt he felt because of Piper was clearly misplaced as he recalled having noticed her leave his sight with another man earlier.
Allison going shy, however, did give him cause to pause and look her in the eye. "Hey, you don't have to talk like that to me. Whatever happens here isn't because you're going to belong to me for any period of time, okay? I'm a little different than a lot of them out there, so don't just tell me what you think I want to hear," he continued, his voice gentle as he tilted her chin to look back at him.
