Re: The Bar - Rajani and Magnus
Magnus' interest rose another few notches at the revelation that Janie was part Fae. He'd spent centuries searching for someone who would not only mesh well with him, but would stay with him longer than his human slaves - bright sparks who shone so beautifully, but died so soon.
Of course, it was far too early to snap Janie up, with so little information. But he made a note of it.
"I'm half Fae myself," he told her with a smile. He understood that she had simplified her story for him. Things were rarely so simple when a supernatural ended up a slave - and fae blood tended to ensure that the stories could be longer than usual. But he didn't mind. Now was not the time for a full backstory. "Although my mother gave me nothing but her longevity." He brought his glass to his lips. "And you? Can you teleport, Janie?"
He grinned. "I've always envied that gift. It seems so useful!"
