Re: The Bar - Rajani and Magnus
Magnus met Rajani's gaze calmly, not at all insulted or offended by her directness. There were boundaries, of course, but he was not one of those who required their slaves to scrape and grovel. Such things held no appeal for him - they had always seemed tasteless. "Janie it is," he said aloud. "And I am Magnus Bane, Janie. You may call me sir."
He smiled as she moved into his hold, sweeping the pad of his thumb over her cheekbone in silent approval. "You flatter me," he said gently. "Thank you for it." He did not want to let go of her, especially since they both seemed to enjoy it; her skin was warm and silky under his fingers, her lashes tiny calligraphic strokes against her cheek. But he did not want to get her in trouble with Maia, since he had not, as yet, made any kind of arrangement with Janie's current Mistress; so he released her chin as his drink arrived, taking up his glass instead. "Will you tell me a little bit about yourself, Janie?" he asked. "You're not human, I think. How did you come to wear a collar?"
