Isaac could only remember a few times that he had piled in with pack, before he was sold. It had been long before. Back when his father had been too busy drinking himself into oblivion, to even care for himself on a full moon, never mind his sons. Camden had taken him out to run in the Preserve, and found a group of young wolves to pile in with. Isaac could vaguely remember Derek and Laura being among them, and it was their scent he remembered more than anything else.
He never missed his father, and couldn't remember his mother to miss her, but some days he missed Camden fiercely. His scent had lingered in the house, after he had died, but once Isaac had been sold, it had been gone forever. He had promised himself that he would never go through something like that again. He pressed himself back against Derek, trying to get as much of his Master's scent on his skin as possible.
