Derek took the driveway back towards the slaves' entrance in the back, and pulled up to the door. He put the car into park and turned off the engine, angling his body a little towards the boy.
"I'm happy you're home," he replied, softly. "I'd be happier if I knew you wanted to be here. Everything else is just...etiquette. Protocol."
