Re: Location - Dining room (waited on by Noctis or NPC)
"You wanna hear my story, huh?" Piper was sure he'd retract that statement after she was finished but couldn't help but be grateful for the interest. Renee never knew the first thing about her family or past which was exactly the way he wanted it. Like Emerson, he wanted to be told a story as long as it had an enticing ending.
With a chuckle and a shrug, she offered, "It was...not what you'd expect. I had a family and a relatively normal human life, compared to this at least. They had an idea about what I should do with my life and I had a different one. " The brunette hadn't expected the story she hadn't told anyone in years to bring back any sort of buried emotions but her face fell and her tone changed but her stubbornness fuelled the rest, "I had a guy and he died. I didn't want to do what they wanted me to do anymore and so I left. I chose something else that would keep me safe--relatively. I went somewhere they couldn't find me. "
She didn't even pretend to hold it together as she gulped the rest of her wine and took a deep breath before finishing, "I had a few masters that taught me with a firm hand what I needed to get by and then Renee--the guy you bought me from, I was with him the longest. A few years. And a few months ago I wasn't what he craved anymore and so he put me in a silk gown and put me up for auction where this...ridiculous," a small smile tugged at her lips when she looked at him, "shit-disturbing, spoiled, pretty boy witch decided it would be a good idea to buy the arrogant Russian out."
