Ambrose felt like he was on pins and needles as he waited for Buffy to gather her thoughts. He felt like they might explode. What was she going to say. His own hands where clasped in his lap, not sure what to do with them as they shook. He had never felt so nervous in all his life. He wanted more than anything for Buffy to have really liked him, but... then the shoe was dropped and Ambrose didn't know were to shout for joy or to jump up an down, like some school boy. He finally stetted on a sigh of relief. He slumped slightly.
"I...." his voice was a bit shaky. "I am glad." Was all he could manage for a moment. He took a deep breath, his hands still shaking slightly. Even though he was relieved, he also realized that he had completely lost his heart to Buffy. Maybe he would have to enforce that fifth rule, but she didn't need to know that yet. "I had thought..." his voice still shaky. "That you had done it for less noble reasons."
