Buffy let the moment pass in rare silence as well. It was a hard feeling to process, but she knew she was doing it all for a reason. She had to keep that reason in the forefront of her mind. It took her a minute or two, but she closed her eyes, not so much caring about the display, and opened them again. The conflict wasn't gone from her eyes, but it was subdued enough.
Food, she reminded herself. He's asking you about food.
"Anything edible is great." More than great, if she was being honest with herself. She frowned as she walked back over to the pot, going about the task of washing it. She paused mid-scrub, frowning. "Except like cow unmentionables or something nasty like that. I hear people really eat stuff like that down in Buffalo Mating Camp."
