Buffy whirled about, looking behind her for a creepy, demon child that wasn't there. Dammit, she should've known better than to trust anything in this town. Her eyes drifted to the other woman in the shop, narrowing slightly. Of course, she didn't know if she'd had anything to do with it or not, but she was suspicious of practically everything at this point.. Slayer's paranoia. She should've listened to it.
Turning around to smile at the clerk, Buffy nodded. Great. Well, at least she could play the crazy card later and have someone to back it up. "Yeah, you know... I guess. New slave. Keeps me up all night, you know?" She paled at what she'd probably implied, flushing slightly as she panicked. "And I don't mean in the horizontal sense. Just. Nightmares and a lot stuff to do and I'm leaving now." The girl promptly turned on her heel, trying to make a quick exit with her remaining shred of dignity in tact.
