It took Simon a few moments before he actually answered. While Morgan said that he wouldn't be punished for his opinion, it could very well be a lie. But then again he had to know what kind of answer he would most likely receive. Taking a leap of faith, the man finally spoke.
"I think it's disgusting," he said softly. "I don't understand what creatures like you tell yourselves to make it think this kind of treatment is okay. That we're nothing more than animals. I've seen slaves that have escaped tortured near to death. For things as silly as dropping a plate. Slaves beaten to insanity just for the sheer fun of it..."
His voice broke slightly at the last statement, thinking of River. His sweet innocent sister who had done nothing wrong. Her master just wanted to break something beautiful.
Pulling himself together he looked up at Morgan. "It's just wrong. It would be wrong if the tables were turned. No one should have the right to own another person."
