Morgan perked up, the moment the words came from Simon's mouth. The slave's thoughts had been so focused on one thing, that there hadn't been any trace of his skills with medicine.
"Really?" he asked, trying to veil his interest. The Underground often came across slaves who were in need of medical care, and no one able to provide it. It seemed as though they were perfectly suited to one another, and it didn't hurt that Simon was certainly easy on the eyes. Still, he needed to make sure that he wasn't walking into buying the wrong slave.
"Simon, I want you to tell me your honest thoughts on human slavery," he said, the words coming quickly. "I know you likely won't trust it, but I promise I will not discipline you for your opinion."
