Re: Side Rooms Carrick/Adelice
Interesting. So the angelic little face and the moist blue eyes held a darkness. "I see. And why did you kill them? Understand, I don't really care much beyond curiosity. What you've done in the past is of no concern to me as long as you serve and pleasure me as I command you to."
Death mattered little to Carrick. As a human he had seen death every day both in the brutal training that all Spartan soldiers underwent, and on campaigns across the Mediterranean. Later, when he had been initiated into the ranks of the vampire officers themselves he had led hundreds, if not thousands of men into battle over the decades and seen hundreds of them fall. That was not to even begin thinking about the mortals who had slaked his red thirst over the centuries and died as he drank.
He leaned back in his chair, considering. "A good girl. Yes, you certainly seem to be trying hard on that score." He paused for a moment. "And have you always thought of yourself as a woman?"
He thought for a moment of the long ago priests of Attis up in the mountains of Asia Minor. Living as women, they devoted themselves with savage ferocity to the service of their Mother goddess; dancing themselves into a frenzy and finally castrating themselves in Her honour.
