Carrick gave a healf-hearted look of disapproval. He knew the fae tendency to be drawn to certain objects; how it was almost a compulsion. Things often went missing in the house, but his irritation was tempered by admiration at the boy's artistry in being able to steal them. Like any ancient Spartan, he did not punish his boy for stealing... only for getting caught doing it.
"I'll have to," he said simply. "There's no use bemoaning something so unavoidable. We'll just have to keep you as healthy and strong as we can for as long as possible."
