He waited until they were a fair distance from the kennels and the stables, still walking barefoot through the grass before he said softly, "I don't know what you're champing at the bit to ask. I can hazard a guess, but I'd rather not. If you'd like to satisfy your own curiosity, I'd rather you do it sooner instead of later." It wasn't Russ' tension he was feeling. It was his own building at how much the wolf clearly was noticing even if he wasn't letting on much about it at all.
