"I'm glad your paths merged the way they did, then," he said, smiling a little lopsidedly. He looked down at his apple again. He stayed quiet for a longer moment and said ever so softly. "Speaking in that same vein though if he hasn't decided against it already, I'd very much appreciate it if you could talk him down from allowing his sister to kill the man I love.
