Allison hadn't thought it was a big deal when she hadn't gone to Mark at the first grizzly noises he made - telling herself he'd settle down by himself, and that it wasn't something she had to worry about. But by the time he was getting louder, it was enough to start Morgan off crying as well. And neither of them seemed interested in stopping.
"Hey, hey shh, it's alright..." Allison attempted, cradling Mark, and trying to work out exactly what was wrong. They'd been fed and burped an hour ago, she didn't think they were too hot or cold, she'd checked his diaper, but nothing seemed to be working. "Please stop..." She muttered, moving Mark to one arm, and trying to fuss over Morgan with her free hand, but a particularly loud cry to the ear made her tense up, and move Mark to the other side, lest she end up dead.
Then when she didn't think it could get much worse, she saw Alcuin in the door.
"I'm fine." She snapped, though the opposite seemed to be the case as Morgan seemed to pick up his volume, and Allison quickly put Mark on the bed, and went to Morgan instead... which only left Mark to get louder that he was put down again, and she looked between the two of them, utterly lost at what to do next. Frustrated she quickly moved to the door, and closed it, Alcuin on the inside. Because while she didn't want him around, it was either him, or calling to Derek or Miranda, and looking like she couldn't handle it.
