He didn't flinch when she touched, in fact he was a lot like stone. Unmoving but not unfeeling. He half listen too her ask talked. His thoughts were all scrambled. He had not had to think on those events all those years ago in great detail. He sighed when she finished. Since the cat was out of bag he might as well just say it all. It was not healthy to keep it bottle up. Ambrose turned his hand over and closed it around Buffy's.
"I don't remember the first three years I was turned. I get little snatches memory but not enough. My sire, the one that turned me, called it a blood lust. I killed innocent humans. Both male and female. So I suppose I am your most hated creature, but that was years ago." he stood up, no longer being able to sit still. "I was a monster, and I will never live it down, but I can't keep living in the past. I had to live for the now. That is what my first human companion told me." He started to pace. "And you can't let your past control you. Yes, those girls are in a terrible place and I hope to whatever is out there that Eterna does not win. But I can keep you safe. I know you say you don't need that, but is all I can give now."
