Derek wasn't particularly pleased to hear that Scott had returned from communing with nature or whatever Deaton had had the werewolf doing in the woods of Northern California. He knew he was likely to be the only one. If there was one thing that the werewolf was sure of, it was that Allison and Stiles would be ecstatic to hear their friend was back, and he was, at some point, going to have to talk to Scott about that fact.
As he padded upstairs, he thought first that he'd tell them together, to get it over as quickly as possible, but he realized that Allison wasn't in her room. Rather than wait, he decided to simply tell Stiles first, and then find his other slave later. There was a slim chance that she would run into him before he got a chance to tell her, after all.
He didn't bother knocking on Stiles' door before he entered, but simply let himself inside, then closed the door behind him before his eyes went to the bed.
