Once he found something he liked, he tended to stick with it. This was, perhaps, why most of his belongings were rather old. He tended to put off replacing things until the last moment possible, as he tended to get attached to things. Even inanimate objects.
If Lucille wasn't so very close to death, Jeremiah probably wouldn't be in the store at all. He rarely bought things unless there was an absolutely dire need. Hell, he still had a CD player (Flash) rather than an iPod. He'd upgrade when Flash finally kicked the bucket.
