RP and OWL: Caitlin and her Seamoose
Date: March 9, 2003 Characters: Seamus Finnigan, Caitlin Finnigan, Harry Potter, Penelope Clearwater Location: Seamus's flat. Private/Public: Private. Rating: G Warnings: None Summary: Seamus feeds his sister and owls a couple people.
“Seamoose! I want to see Teddy! You said we could see Teddy this weekend and the weekend’s over!”
Seamus winced and parted his eyes slowly, blinking sleepily as he looked over at his younger sister. She’d crawled into the bed with him and was hovering over his face, watching him with a mixture of excitement and anger on her face.
He sighed and glanced over at the clock, shooting up in the bed when he realized it was nearly noon.
“Bloody hell, you must be hungry,” he said, pulling himself out of the comfort of the sheets.
Caitlin simply crossed her arms and glared at him reproachfully. “Lavender made me breakfast before she left for work.” She harrumphed slightly, sticking her little nose in the air as she watched him pull on his t-shirt and a pair of jeans over his boxers.
“Ew, you’re not going to take a shower? You should. You smell real bad.”
Seamus rolled his eyes. “That would be the morning breath, Cait, not me actual body. I showered before I went to bed.”
Caitlin wrinkled her nose. “And Lavender kissed you goodbye this morning, too! Yuck.” She looked thoroughly disgusted. “She must really like you or something because that’s gross,” she told him, elongating the ‘o’ in ‘gross’.
Seamus laughed and shook his head, walking back to the bed and grabbing Caitlin, throwing her over his shoulder. He walked into the bathroom, ignoring the way her little fists pummeled his back, and sat her down on the toilet seat as he began brushing his teeth. When he was finished, he walked over to her and breathed into her face.
“Better?” he asked before pressing a kiss to her forehead.
Caitlin shrugged. “Minty.”
“That’s the point, short arse.”
Caitlin gasped and threw her hand over her mouth. “I’m going to tell Mummy that you said the A-word! She’s not going to like that. You’re gonna get in trouble.” She nodded knowingly, a tiny smile beginning to form on her face.
Seamus laughed at the expression and then gave her a big pout, sinking down to his knees so that he was at eye level with her. “Don’t tell on me. Pretty please?” He batted his eyelashes at her and poked out his bottom lip even more, knowing she would eventually cave in. When she simply crossed her arms and shook her head, Seamus reached forward and began tickling her, laughing as she shrieked and thrived in his arms.
“Fine! I won’t tell! Gerroff me, you big moose.”
Seamus snickered and shook his head. “Come on you. I’ll make you some lunch and owl Harry about seeing Teddy, okay?” This seemed to satisfy Caitlin because she nodded her head and walked out of the bathroom, heading for the kitchen.
After lunch, Seamus grabbed a quill and a piece of parchment, jotting down a quick note to Harry.
Harry-
Hey, mate. I forgot to tell you I’m back in town for a bit. We need to get together with the boys and head to a pub soon. I’ve also got the munchkin with me for a few weeks. She’s about ready to kick me in the arse for not taking her to see Teddy this weekend, so I was wondering if there was a time we could come by for a visit. Please don’t take too long responding…The kid’s feistier than she looks.
Hope to hear from you soon- Seamus
He was about to send his owl off with the letter when he realized he’d forgotten to owl another person as well. He grabbed another piece of parchment to jot down an even quicker note.
Penelope-
Hello there. You told me to owl you when I got back in town, so hear I am. Like I said before, I’d love to talk to you about your travels. Drop me an owl if you’re still interested.
Thanks- Seamus Finnigan
He sent the owl off with the letters and turned back to Caitlin, raising an eyebrow at her impatient expression.
