Scientist Robert Hills went to the ends of the Earth. Having lost his wife to a vampire in 1896, Hills embarked on a mission to find a weakness in the race. He discovered a whole lot more. Appalled by the underworld he had uncovered, Hills fled to America where he founded The Guild - a secret organisation held in the heart of Maine. For years he worked on building its foundations, testing his theories on various genetic and scientific advances. Having managed to prolong his life and find the "key to immortality", he set about recruiting various members to his ranks to rival the dark forces against the human race. These individuals were altered thanks to Hills' scientific breakthroughs. Their DNA was changed to incorporate special abilites, heighten their natural instincts. With his help and constant monitoring, these individuals formed the battlefront of the Guild and fought the darker elements to protect innocent people. Years have gone by and still the Guild are strong, but despite their best efforts the demons keep coming to haunt them and give them trouble. Recently they discovered the Brethren, a council of the oldest creatures, who hold the key to the undead's survival against the Guild, and who need to be destroyed if the human race is to live beyond the year... While Hell has it's share of demons and other evils, Heaven has its champions. It's Chosen. The war is on going and woven so deep into the fabrics of life that many of these individuals remain unaware of each other. Many think they are alone, but in reality they are not. X-Project - an X-Men Movieverse RPG on Livejournal [27 Sep 2009|09:38pm] X-PROJECT: AN X-MEN MOVIEVERSE RPG Jono Starsmore Slightly rebellious son of middle-class English parents, Jono managed his mutant powers with minimal issues until the Great Mutant Headache of X2. The pain caused him to lose control of his psionic energies, blowing a hole in his chest and destroying the lower part of his face. Incredibly, he survived, ultimately arriving at Xavier's to learn control of the blasts. Control wasn't forthcoming, but the embittered loner found love instead, in the form of Paige Guthrie. A further powers accident cost him his entire body, until a daring plan by the genius Forge (who harboured his own feelings for Paige), enabled him to fully reconstruct himself. The bliss of a whole body was not to be, and an encounter with Kevin Ford cost him that hard-won form. Eventually he was able to partially rebuild himself, and he and Paige returned from Muir Island Research Facility, Paige to resume her work in the medlab, Jono to resume teaching Music. X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, we've been running since May 2003 and use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. It awakened something dark in our nature, Worse than the mobs or the thugs, And now evil spills out from the Pandora's Box he opened. Batman: Rogues' Gallery is a Nolan-verse RPG centered around the origins of Batman's greatest nemeses and focusing on Gotham's descent into crime, anarchy and madness. The story begins with the Joker's incarceration at Arkham Asylum following an elaborate plot against Gotham City. While inspired by Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, the plot of this game deviates from the movie on a few key points (please see the premise and character list for more details). post comment
