Tolkien On the night of All Hallow’s Eve, 1981, the Dark Lord Voldemort fell at the hands of one-year old Harry Potter, bringing an end to a decade long reign of terror, to the relief of the entire Wizarding World. Death Eaters were imprisoned, wounds healed, and the Wizarding World spent the next decade healing from the pain of the first war. Yet, Voldemort was not truly defeated that night. He will rise once more, bringing upon another vicious war upon the Wizarding World. Everyone knows the story of James and Lily Potter and the story of their son, Harry, but until now, the story of what happened in between has been unknown. It is 1990, the year before Harry Potter will discover he is a Wizard. Professor Quirrell has left his post at Hogwarts to travel Romania, where he will soon discover the Dark Lord and become his vessel, but back at Hogwarts, all thoughts of Voldemort ever returning are far from anyone’s minds. The students of Hogwarts are far too worried about their love lives, winning Quidditch matches, and avoiding being the target of the secret gossip column of the school, while their professors have similar interests. Rivalries run deep, love comes and goes, and the foundation for the future is being paved. Everyone stands at a crossroads, the road behind them broken and wilting. The road ahead holds a mystery. Which paths in life will they chose? Who will they become? Only one thing is certain; they must choose. Recuperatio [11 Sep 2009|03:55am] 2005. Seven years since the fall of The Dark Lord Voldemort. After all of the pain and suffering that he inflicted, one would think that things were back to normal and peaceful. If you think that, then you’re dead wrong. Convicted rapist and murderer, Fenrir Greyback has escaped from Azkaban and has already began to leave a trail of bodies behind him as he works on building a werewolf army, along with being intent on finishing what he started with Hermione Granger back at Malfoy Manor. Poor Crookshanks has already paid the price of his bloodlust. The leading vampire rights activist has been murdered and vampires are ready to expose everyone to the Muggles if the killer isn’t caught and if their demands aren’t met. The Muggle War is affecting Wizards left and right, from soldiers to suicide bombers in London. Harry Potter is still living a reclusive life, still dealing with PTSD from the war. The Death Eaters have begun to align themselves once more, planning on finishing the work of The Dark Lord. In an attempt to gain Greyback as an ally, the Death Eaters responsible for the new regime tortured Hermione Granger, with the intent of presenting her as a gift for the wolf, but Harry Potter saved her in time. But the damage was done and Ron Weasley is now on the war path. Will Harry be able to come out of his seclusion and help his friend before he goes off the deep end? And if Harry cannot stop Ron, will his fellow Aurors be forced to do the job? All of this going on and the Head of the Magical Law Enforcement unit has just been murdered along with the Minister of Magic’s assistant and Andromeda Tonks… Someone is hell-bent on killing every single person of importance in the Ministry of Magic, leaving room for the Death Eaters to make their move. Secrets are being revealed, rumors flying, babies are born, and people are dying at an alarming rate. Lord Voldemort would be proud. Things are just beginning to get interesting. Darkness Rising [11 Sep 2009|04:15am] September, 1978. School is back in session and though students should be safe within the walls of Hogwarts, one of Voldemort’s Death Eaters has infiltrated the school, securing the Defense Against the Dark Arts position. His mission? To kill Albus Dumbledore. The Dark Lord Voldemort is nearly at his full power and if Dumbledore is taken out of his way, he will have full control. After spending months fighting the Imperius Curse from Lord Voldemort, Minister of Magic, Millicent Bagnold, has completely broken from the Dark Lord’s control, a result of weeks of deception on her part. Aurors nearly caught Voldemort, but three Aurors were killed in the process and now the weakening Department of Magical Law Enforcement is getting desperate for more man-power. Professor McGonagall’s daughter has been rescued and has been able to identify her captor; Bellatrix Lestrange. Now the Lestranges are hiding in France; awaiting the Dark Lord’s orders, but the Dark Lord’s plans for them involve using them as bait for the Ministry of Magic. Even with his top follower on the run and his failings with the Minister, Voldemort has something else on his side; the Horcruxes. Having successfully created two, both in safe keeping, he searches for his mother’s locket and the cup of Hufflepuff, to create even more. Greyback is turning werewolves secretly and is stalking Remus Lupin’s fiancée, Dorcas Meadowes, planning to do unthinkable things to her. But breaking into the Ministry of Magic has distracted him. Now that he knows Auror Caradoc Dearborn is the one tracking him, what will be his fate? Alice Longbottom’s father, responsible for the death of her daughter, has been murdered by Bellatrix Lestrange, but the Ministry only has their eyes set on the Longbottoms and Dumbledore for the culprits. Lucius Malfoy has proposed a business marriage with Narcissa Black and the two powerful families are about to merge and the new Auror trainees will soon embark on a journey that will potentially lead them all to their deaths. Those were the last words Lilly Kane ever told her best friend, Veronica. But everyone knows this story. The murder of Lilly Kane. It was on the cover of People magazine. It made ‘Entertainment Tonight’. The town flooded with journalists. What if Lilly didn't die? What if she was only in a coma? The night Aaron Echolls went after Lilly Kane, he did indeed knock her out, but she was still alive when Sheriff Mars found her. She spent the last three years in a coma, but the longer she remained in the coma, the less likely it became that she would come out of it. Why did Billionaire parents Jake and Celeste Kane never pull the plug, knowing that their daughter would more than likely never wake up? They couldn't bear to. They continued pouring money into the hospital to keep her alive, waiting and hoping. The town of Neptune went on as though Lilly had died, as though she didn't spend three years in Neptune Memorial Hospital living off a machine. The convicted murderer was sent to prison, Veronica now an outcast, committed her life to finding the real killer, until she finally found him and got him put behind bars as he should have been in the first place. Aaron Echolls trial finished, he was acquitted due to lack of evidence (thanks Logan), but then something mysterious happened. Lilly woke up. What will life be like for everyone who thought she would never awaken? Will she be the evidence they needed to convict Aaron for life? Only time will tell. The Return of Kane is an AU Veronica Mars game that provides a second chance at life for Lilly Kane. All events of the first two seasons are as canon except that Lilly didn't actually die. The game starts at the very end of season 2 and will progress into an AU season 3. Set in crime-ridden Dark City Treno, dominated by alcohol, drugs and weapons, this place is constantly immersed in a perpetual state of darkness. Clouds loom overhead, occasionally it rains, hardly ever do the citizens see light. Same goes with the nature of the business which goes on behind doors. What may seem like a friendly floral shop masks a drug ring, and what you may think is just a quaint pub you're walking into could be the locale meeting spot for weapons dealers. Thugs, thieves, drug lords, and criminals of the underworld tend to be attracted to the dark environment the city offers. Along with despair there is hope. A few individuals fight against the masses, trying to bring good and order back into the city. Though with the dreary forecast constantly imposing on the innocent civilians, the fight is predicted to be endless and futile.
