"Imagine that Voldemort’s powerful now. You don’t know who his supporters are, you don’t know who’s working for him and who isn’t; you know he can control people so that they do terrible things without being able stop themselves. You’re scared for yourself, and your family, and your friends. Every week, news comes of more deaths, more disappearances, more torturing … The Ministry of Magic’s in disarray, they don’t know what to do, they’re trying to keep everything hidden from the Muggles, but meanwhile, Muggles are dying too. Terror everywhere … panic … confusion … that’s how it used to be."– Sirius Black

The year is 1978. Across Europe the Wizarding Community lives in fear. Voldemort and his followers are on the rise, leaving behind a reign of terror in their wake. As Voldemort’s supporters increase and more Wizards are murdered or go missing, Wizards and Witches begin to grow even more uneasy and terrified, and an increasing number choose to fall prey to his Empire, out of fear for their lives, unwilling to stand up and fight.

Despite the increasing danger to their loves, a small group of vigilante Wizards, led by Albus Dumbledore, has begun a rebellion, daring to do what the Ministry will not; fight. The Order of the Phoenix is slowly forming into a force to be reckoned with, a threat to not only Voldemort, but the Ministry itself.

Change is on the brink for the students of Hogwarts. No longer will they be safe behind the confines of the castle, unaware to the real dangers of the world. They will soon be forced to make their own loyalties known; a decision that will affect not only the rest of their lives, but the entire Wizarding World.

Choices have already been made for those just out of Hogwarts. They have picked their sides and now they must live with the decisions they have made.

Amongst all of this darkness, the Order is the light needed to give the Wizarding World the power to take on Voldemort’s forces. As both sides fight to gain support, one question still lies: which side will you choose?

Everyone and anyone!
Since the dawn of man’s existence, they have feared the creatures that embraced the night. As man stumbled along in developing, the supernatural beings had almost free range over most of Europe, parts of Asia, South America, and else where. There seemed to be no limit to the horrors they could bring over man kind- until slowly, the human caught up. In 1734 a Swiss scientist named Dr. Crivitz teamed up with a self declared vampire hunter whose name has been lost with time, and the two set up to capture a live vampire and study it. While their mission failed and the vampire had to be put down with a stake before Dr. Crivitz got to examine him, the doctor left with one conclusion: these foul creatures of the night cannot be trusted, cannot be changed, and most be killed.

Pouring his family’s wealth into labs and training facilities, Dr. Crivitz created Cavalry, so named because all the hunters originally rode on horse back. Over the decades, Cavalry became shrouded in mystery and rumor. Some claimed they were the salvation against that which bumps in the night- others questioned why they were so obsessed with simply killing, instead of study and trying to make a truce.

In the late 1800’s, Cavalry suddenly seemed to disappear from the face of the planet. All the documents on the group were gone, all evidence erased. The supernatural became a mere myth, and the world entered the 1900’s with little to no memory of Cavalry. The supernatural remained quiet, their numbers few thanks to the human hunter group- but decades of no Cavalry to hunt them led the creatures to repopulate. Smarter this time around, they hid in the shadows, remaining merely unseen.

WW2 came and left the human world in disarray. The UN slowly began to hunt to solutions to the problems the war had created, and deep in a Swiss bank account thought to hold military papers from Germany something else entirely was found- Dr. Crivitz’s papers, notes, and a brief history of the start of Cavalry. While the heads of nations ignored them as being merely the mad ravings of a man from long ago, the papers were put back into their place. US President Richard Barrowmen shrugged the whole event off, thinking the papers could rot and turn to dust in Geneva.

1998 brought change, however. One evening Richard Barrowmen Jr. walked the streets of Boston, a man himself now who was a rising senator and shoe in for the next presidential race. As he walked with his wife late at night, the two were attacked by a mad lunatic who drank his wife’s blood right out of his veins. Richard escaped with his wife, and told the tale to his ailing father, who remembered those papers hidden away in Geneva, and told his son that story.

In 2008, President Richard Barrowmen Jr. became President of the United States of America. Before the year was out, a new secret organization under the NATO was formed. It’s name?

Cavalry.

Multifandom IJ Asylum Based Game - Now Open! [26 Jul 2009|09:17pm]

As children, we're expected not just to believe in fairy tales, but to embrace them. Boys can fly and live as children forever, girls can be rescued from their evil step-mothers and whisked away to castles in pumpkin coaches; the world is an endless stretch of possibility set against a backdrop of inherent freedom.

It is only a fiction. The world eventually reveals itself to be an unkind place, the villains not easily defeated, no fairy godmother to come to the rescue. The loss of innocence is taken in stride by some, and those fortunate masses go on to become grown-ups, to live out their lives in some boring profession or another, to forget magic after passing it along to their own children.

But what of those who grow older without growing up? What if Alice witnessed something so terrifying that she never wanted to leave Wonderland? What if Belle's beast was so cunning and so cruel that she could not bear to part from him, his murder of her father aside? For all of those who fell through the cracks, for the most unique and the least privileged, the untouchable and the uncared for, for the most heartbreaking and horrifying, there exists a refuge. The shelter? A deceptively quiet New England hospital; Cheshire Crossing.
