Some new and some recasts [24 Jul 2009|09:51am] Hi! I'm one of the mods at Post_Bellum and we've lost some beloved characters and are looking to replace them as well as add new ones. Recasts: Mandy Brocklehurst: She's sexually ambiguous, she been building a friendship with Lee Jordan, and she's recently started a band called The Restricted Section with Susan Bones, Melinda Bobbin and Tracey Davis. She works in a Muggle bookshop (she is Muggle-born) and she lives with Josh Vaisey, former Slytherin. Rabastan Lestrange: Rabastan has recently returned to England after spending time with his brother Rodolphus in France, working on a diabolical plan. He is living in a flat in muggle London that belonged to Pansy Parkinson's former manager. Luna Lovegood: Luna has decided to work with magical reatures after graduating from Hogwarts. She's studying mere people as an apprentice for Wilhelmina Grubbly-Plank. She also works Eeylops Owl Emporium. Dean Thomas: Working with Andrew Bobbin on securing a potions equivalent for his missed N.E.W.T. Dean plans to become an Auror some day. They developed over time, from gifted infants to troubled youths to trouble-making young adults. They couldn't fit in so the they fit the world to their needs. They changed everything. It's been thirty-five years since the first cases were documented, but it's become apparent that the change has been going on for longer. Evolution doesn't wait to be taken on record. The year is 2009. The United States hasn't been a unified country for a full decade now. Those in power have become those with power and they have redrawn the borders to reflect supremacy and megalomania. Fiefdoms and warlords battle over the available land. Those with abilities are split between followers, criminals and unwilling participants in the skirmishes that separate areas of influence. Those without have little choice - either attempt to take refuge in Seattle, the last bastion of 'normal' resistance, or make a deal with the devil and sell out to buy out some semblance of existence in the 'freak' territories. The First Evil has been beaten back, crippled beyond repair. The Turok-han have been reduced to ashes. Evil everywhere has felt the shock waves of good coursing through the world. And they're afraid. Now Buffy and the Scoobies have a new mission. Organize and train the new slayers. Scotland has become their headquarters, though they are everywhere, traveling, trying to gather the girls. The Watchers council is currently being rebuilt, sects that the Bringers didn't destroy coming forward to lend a their expertise. Following the destruction of Sunnydale, there was a calm over the world unlike any had been before. A safety. However, the peace that has descended over the world is short lived. The balance between good and evil has been upset. Slayers are being killed and no one knows why or more importantly what new evil is doing it. It's up to you to find out. Watchers, witches, Slayers, even ordinary hunters are all coming out of the wood work, fighting back, trying to protect the future of good everywhere. What side are you on? Vampires, werewolves, and more exist. They have been known to the government for a long time, and now they are coming out of the shadows - and they come with a message. They are not a threat. They mean no danger to humans. But there are other things out there that do. The days that followed changed everything most people believed they knew about the world, about history, and most importantly, about themselves. Celebrities, politicians, the family down the street - they began revealing their true identities, and telling the world what they really were. Missing people that had been turned against their will came out of hiding, and orginizations popped up to reunite them with their families. The revealing of the supernatural was penned in the media as the Light of May, as society made room for the supernatural. It wasn't easy. Many, human and supernatural alike, were terrified of what this would mean. Some wanted to keep the supernatural abominations down. Leading figures of both Democratic and Republican parties were revealed to be supernaturals themselves, and joined together to fight for civil rights for the supernatural. It is revealed that if the supernatural were wiped out, half of the entire world's population would be gone. Independent parties popped up through-out the country, opposing supernatural rights, and the fight goes on. But those aren't the only battles being fought. Why did the Light of May happen? If the supernatural has always existed, why are they only making themselves known now? For centuries, those with supernatural blood have been hunted, held, and killed - all for the benefits of their blood to hunters, and vampires who don't want to play by the rules of etiquette. There was a time when the angels, and even the fae, fought to protect them. But the fae have been extinct for hundreds of years, and worse - the angels seem to have disappeared. There is nothing fighting the demons of the world at bay now. The human race is at risk, and they are not alone. _________________________ The Light of May is an original supernatural game, taking place in a time when the world is adjusting to the world that has been hidden since the beginning of time. The game is set in Ann Arbor, Michigan, centered around a fictional township called Scarlet Oak. Characters of many races are up for play, as are those trusty humans. The Light of May will be focusing on characters adjustments and the eventual struggle against demons, hunters, and more. The Light of May is for original characters only.
