Spring of 1843. The snow is melting. Soon, men will take their shovels to dig graves and the first casualties of the revolution will be laid to rest in the frontier town of Sedona. Lives have been devastated by a bombing and a train wreck. Ladies have become widows; children have become orphans.

But life goes on. Those who have died will soon be out of mind. The shops sell their wares; more people want to own guns these days. Women sell their bodies. The saloons still serve drinks to people who want to forget about the world they live in, the people who used to live in it with them, and the people who still do.

Some distance from the graveyard, in the Westonbirt Arboretum, flowers are blooming near the ground these bodies are hidden by. Their beauty will delight hearts that have been bowed by sorrow and fear. But these flowers will be cut and washed and their oils will be condensed and mixed and sold as magic. And the glass bottles they are sold in will become smeared by blood from the hands of the Victorian Company.

The revolution has begun. The bodies that were just buried in the newly-thawed earth will be far from the last. This small town will become a battleground. Which side will you be fighting on?

Perfume is an original western fantasy game set in the small town of Sedona. We offer a long-term plot and are always open to suggestions and discussion from members. We permit smaller plots, be they personal or game-wide. This game is literate and active. We are yaoi and yuri friendly, though due to the setting characters may not be. If you have any questions please feel free to ask: the mods are active and friendly.

The Marked [07 Mar 2009|11:07am]
Banners

Premise | Taken | Held | Rules | Application
What makes a person good? What makes them evil? Is it their actions, or do ends justify means? Is it something that is at the core of every person? Are you born one way or the other? Is there truly a right and wrong side to every thing? What even defines "good" or "evil"? Is it inherent or is it something forced upon us? Perhaps it is simply the sum of everything we're faced with.

What side would you find yourself on if everything you'd ever known was stripped away? What happens when your world has been reset and all you have are your memories of the life you've been taken from? What if you discovered you were just a pawn in some bigger player's game? Would you change? Would you join forces with a serial killer or turn your back on a hero to get to the bottom of a problem bigger than you? Or would you do nothing at all?

The Marked is a multi-fandom game. Unlike most other games in this genre, we endorse canon portrayals of your favorite characters and we also provide a working plot for you and your characters to participate in.

It starts with one letter, that appears out of nowhere.

Don't open it!

Don't read it!

The letter is filled with a dark magic, no one know where it came from, but once you read the letter and blink, you are transported to a mystifying island amongst strangers .

So don't blink!

If you blinked, check out [info]you_blinked - a multi-fandom rpg game

OPENING MARCH 14th!

Welcome to Reading. It's a place where the sun is always shining, and people always have a place to be. Where people dress up to leave the house, and always have something interesting to talk about. Where nursery rhymes aren't just in books, it's where they are alive. It's where you can find Humpty Dumpty sitting on a wall, and an old lady who lives in a shoe. If one could step into the world of fiction, you'd find yourself in Reading. Life here can be magical and terrible all at once. Reality in Reading is not always realistic. And things are not always as they seem.

Underneath the sunny exterior lies a much darker Reading. The only thing bigger than the rhymes themselves, are the crimes that seem to surround them.

With Zordon's sacrifice, the world seemed to set itself right and there was peace. For years, there were no alien invasions. No demonic entities. No strange ninja assassins. Many of the Rangers thought that their time had finally come to retire and rest. That perhaps Evil had learned its lesson and stayed away. The thing about that, though, is evil never dies. It just waits. Regroups. Then stabs you in the back while you're not looking. Andros, leader of the Space Rangers, along with Tommy Oliver, monitored for evil activity. Tommy on Earth, Andros in Space, and they even recruited the help of Billy on Aquitar. Everything seemed to be fine until Tommy lost all communication with Aquitar.

Then Andros went missing.

Cut off from the rest of the Universe, Tommy found himself trying to figure out where to go from here. Twenty minutes later, Stone Canyon was decimated; a warning that evil had come home and Angel Grove was next.

That's when everything changed.

It has been a year of peace since Sorceress Ultimecia’s reign of terror. Time Compression was opposed by the young heroes of Balamb Garden, and the Witch of the future was sent to her death. For a precious time following her destruction, the world was able to recover in a long-awaited era of normalcy. Students continued to feed SeeD with new minds to mould and educate, with Gardens doors remaining open to faces new and old, and the teenage cadets were able to take a moment to enjoy their youth with dances and festivals and social-gatherings. Slowly but surely, it felt as if the world was reverting back to its old rhythm and forgetting the wounds of yesteryear, and organisations continued to provide Balamb Garden with a steady line of clientele, utilising their teams of elite mercenaries by pulling them across-continent as personal soldiers.

But now there is change afoot. President Deling II, of the dominating nation known as Galbadia, has declared war on SeeD and its schools, with his eye especially narrowing upon the headquarters of Balamb Garden. In his quest to topple the world, SeeD’s child-soldiers stands as the greatest opposition to the Galbadian army. The choice he offers: assimilate, or be destroyed.

How may this alter the young lives of those living within the Garden? Who will stand their ground? Who will be lost?

A storm is coming.

[info]liberatifatali; the Children of Fate, is a game set in the world of Final Fantasy VIII; a world overrun with political corruption, magic and young heroes. It focuses on the lives of the teenagers of the military school known as Balamb Garden, and some of the key members of the older cast who stand in useful positions in Estharian and Galbadian society. A social game as well as a plot-driven one, a lot of the emphasis is on the relationships between the young cast, with the teenage problems of cadets and SeeDs within Balamb Garden being offset by the looming threat of Galbadia and the dangerous atmosphere it casts over even the sweetest of moments. Detailed writers are to be found herein, as well as canon personalities and an uncertain future that anyone can influence.

Balamb Garden students are playable between ages 15-19.

NEEDED:
Irvine Kinneas ♦, Xu ♦, the son of Mayor Dobe, the son of Dr. Kadowaki, the children of Kiros Seagill and Ward Zabac, and teenagers of all shapes and orientations.

Poseidon Academy [07 Mar 2009|07:31pm]
Poseidon Academy

Poseidon Academy, an educational institution by the shores of the ocean, is home to people of all different ages, from all different places. They are teachers, faculty, students and townspeople, each serving an important purpose, playing a crucial role in the Academy's greater community. Reachable through a nexus -- a strange and inexplicable phenomenon that allows passage between worlds and times -- the Academy exists largely in a world of its own. All races, all ages, all sentient forms of life are welcomed with open arms to the Academy. Some are more benevolent than others, but that's the risk of a place such as this; that is what gives the Academy its color.
