Resident Evil: Necropolis

Welcome to Raccoon City.

Once a small rural town, it is now a thriving industrial metropolis thanks to Mayor Michael Warren. Warren did not accomplish this without help. He enlisted the help of the pharmaceutical giant, the Umbrella Corporation. Umbrella soon became the behind the scenes leaders of the city by employing most of the population, having assets gain a majority seating in the city council. Raccoon City became Umbrella’s personal playground.

With the rapid expansion of the city came new problems. The most horrific of all was a series of cannibalistic murders that began occurring in the nearby Arklay Mountains in May of 1998. No one knew how to explain this phenomenon so it was written off as cult activities. On July 23rd 1998, S.T.A.R.S teams were dispatched to the area to investigate. Of the twelve members dispatched only five returned alive. They came reporting stories of zombies and monsters and were quickly dismissed by the Police Chief Brian Irons.

It is now September 22, 1998. You are an unknowing Raccoon City citizen going about your daily business. Do you happen to notice to notice the elderly woman attacking a group of teenagers? Do you notice the cries for help and the endless sirens? Do you notice the hairs standing up on the back of your neck and the adrenaline pumping though your veins?

Welcome to Raccoon City, your friendly Necropolis.

Wanted.The Stones.Application.Rules.Characters/Taken PBs.Main Community.OOC Community

In the year 1994, three teenagers were on vacation with their families, and crossed upon a cave. At first, it didn’t seem out of the ordinary, until they took their flashlights and walked in. The walls were covered with different colored stones, green, blue, red, orange, etc. Ecstatic about the discovery, they decided to take some as souvenirs and tell everyone about it. Little did they know that those stones would change their lives forever. Those weren’t your ordinary stones. They gave people abilities to manipulate different phases of nature.

Anyone who held a specific stone would be able to control a specific part of nature. Fun, right? Well, no. Once you get that stone, you cannot lose it. Because once you have the stone, you become one with it. If you are away from your stone for a long period of time, you die. Why not destroy it after the person dies? Well, once you touch the stone, it is in your blood. When you die, it must be passed on to one person of your family blood or else everyone in your family chain will die. Many people heard about these stones, and its abilities, but they did not bother to think about that negative side and went to the cave.

People who couldn’t afford to travel and go to the cave began to steel the stones from others, thus people started to die from being away from their stone for too long. When the government found out about those stones and its abilities, they ordered for all stones to be destroyed. Meaning anyone who had a stone destroyed died too. Even though the government thought they destroyed all the stones, there were some people that still had it in their possession. Most keep it secret, in fear that the government would destroy it.

It is the year 2008, and people still have a stone in their possession.

The Marked
Premise | Taken | Held | Rules | Application
What makes a person good? What makes them evil? Is it their actions, or do ends justify means? Is it something that is at the core of every person? Are you born one way or the other? Is there truly a right and wrong side to every thing? What even defines "good" or "evil"? Is it inherent or is it something forced upon us? Perhaps it is simply the sum of everything we're faced with.

What side would you find yourself on if everything you'd ever known was stripped away? What happens when your world has been reset and all you have are your memories of the life you've been taken from? What if you discovered you were just a pawn in some bigger player's game? Would you change? Would you join forces with a serial killer or turn your back on a hero to get to the bottom of a problem bigger than you? Or would you do nothing at all?

The Marked is a multi-fandom game, meaning almost all fandoms are welcomed here whether they're books, movies, or television series. Unlike most of the multi-fandom games around here, we endorse canon portrayals of your favorite characters and we also provide a working plot for you and your characters to participate in.

It’s the start of a new year. Sorceress Ultimecia’s reign of terror is over, and though SeeD has fulfilled its purpose, Garden’s doors remain open to children to face the inevitable foes that dare to replace her. Slowly but surely, it feels that the world is reverting back into its old rhythm and forgetting the wounds of yesteryear. Organisations continue to provide Balamb Garden with a steady line of clientele, utilising their teams of elite mercenaries by pulling them across-continent as personal soldiers. Other cadets hang back within the academy, waiting their turn as they focus on schoolwork, training… and just a little more than before, having social lives. Life may not be all about fighting and war from here on, and the dangerous electricity in the air, lingering from the battles just months ago, does nothing to ruin the palpable feeling of relief and the promise for new beginnings.

But the calms after storms are fickle things. Who knows how long this one will last?

It’s a new age -- not perfect, but better.

For now.
