[17 Aug 2008|01:18pm] It is the year 2000 and even though the wizarding world is still trying to rebuild it's still in chaos. The death eaters that weren't thrown into the newly rebuilt Azkaban are now reformed citizens of the wizarding world or so you think. The new Minister of Magic has been selected, but there is still some corruption left in the ministry. Pure blood laws are being fought over everyday and there has already been multiple attempts on Harry's life since the end of the war and to most people, that last was a success. Harry is actually hidden safely in the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts; only four people know where he is, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Charlie Weasley and Hagrid. Another war is brewing and to most citizen of the Wizarding world are oblivious to the signs. To the rest of the world Harry Potter is dead, but there have been rumors that their hero still lives. When the time is right he will come back and restore order to the world that he chose to save. When will that time come? No one knows, not even Harry himself. It's a new generation full of muggleborn acceptance (for the most part) and infinite possibilities. Do they die, forsaken, alone? Or do they remain, still wandering the world, immortal, surviving off what little belief they can gather? Forgotten Gods follows the lives of these old deities, brought to America long ago by explorers or immigrants from their homelands and eventually abandoned or lost from memory. As their worshippers moved on to new religions, the gods' powers waned - for a god, at its most pure essence, is no more than an idea, and an idea is worthless if there is nobody to believe in it. Some have passed, forgotten, from the world, while others have fallen into madness. Some have simply tried to adapt, to make a life for themselves in this place without gods, getting by on what little scraps of worship and belief they can garner. Others are more radical, attempting to regain the power that was once theirs, to revive their followings. And then there are the New Gods. Inside, there are castles towering to the sky, enchanted forests, and a host of magical creatures, but despite all of that, the kingdom is still cursed. Not just the kingdom as a whole; every single inhabitant of Regaling is born with their own curse. Some are meant to be broken, others will remain unbreakable. Regaling is one giant fairy tale. Your character will be the hero of their story, a victim in another, a love interest in the next, and maybe a villain in all the rest. Regaling is an AU multifandom animanga, book/movie, and video game role-play with a heavy importance on character development and humor with hi-jinks!!1! versus a complicated plot. The game is set up in a loose way in the hopes that characters will be able to make the game develop without having very much set in stone. It is designed in the form of a kingdom of fairy tales, with each character assuming a role in their own story and inevitably affecting the other stories around them. The Kingdom of Regaling itself is under a curse that includes curse days, during which the majority of Regaling's inhabitants will suffer from the same basic curse. It could, for example, be a day when everyone switches curses, or maybe forgets about the person they hold the most important to them. However, on the normal days (and I'm using "normal" lightly here~) each character must live with their own curse. As part of Regaling's curse, each person who enters the Kingdom of Regaling, be it by birth or travel, will have a curse placed upon them. [17 Aug 2008|09:38pm] The Community Ackley High is your average boarding highschool. Kind of. It is filled with all kinds of kids. From jocks to punks, skaters to cheerleaders. Parties are held every friday, where everyone gets together. Goths and prep might hang out by the punch bowl, and nerds and the girly girls might play pool together. Education is important, but their social life is critical. Gossip will spread through the halls like a bullet. So be careful of what you do. An origional character RPG.
