Half Past Midnight [13 Jul 2008|05:21pm] Imagine a world where magic rules, where nine moons circle the sky and war has waged for centuries. Welcome to planet Trivald, a world unlike our own. Three species have been fighting for their right to survive, only to decimate over half the population in the process. With a treaty now in place, the people of Trivald put their faith in their children, sending those of 18 to 24 years of age to a compound where they will learn to live with each other, or risk repeating the mistakes of the past. With outside influences cut to a minimum, those within the compound will face trials that will force change, break traditions, and test the bonds between friends and enemies. The sun rises, then falls, the moons pass as night sinks deeper, and a new trial begins at half past midnight. We know the struggles they encountered, the obstacles they overcame, the love they felt for each other which was stronger and more important than anything else. We felt as if we were a part of their journey from Twilight to Eclipse and beyond. But what if the roles were reversed? What is Bella was the vampire and Edward was the human? Perfect Paradigm RPG is an AU Twilight game where Bella Cullen is a vegetarian vampire living in the Cullen coven in Forks, Washington and Edward Masen is a human, just moving to town because of his father’s job transfer. Edward’s blood calls out to Bella and she finds herself falling for much more than his scent. Join us on a journey is seeing what would happen if the story of Twilight was reversed, was a paradigm of what it is now. Will love conquer all? Our game starts at the beginning of Twilight with Edward Masen moving to the small town of Forks, Washington with his mother and father. Bella and the Cullens are students at Forks High and just like in the novel, when Bella first encounters Edward, his blood sings to her, calls to her. The storyline will remain relatively the same, same general events (i.e. the crash in the parking lot, Port Angeles, baseball) playing out with reversed roles with the players deciding what actually happens in each of them. [13 Jul 2008|06:23pm] It has been 21 years since Batman first appeared in Gotham. 17 years since he had a run in with Catwoman, an elegant and seductive criminal that turned out to be the love of his (and Bruce Wayne's) life. So much so that she gave up her life of crime to fight along side him (and be Bruce's wife). And 11 years since he disappeared. Following a long and gruesome war with the Joker (one the claimed the lives of not only many civilians but Catwoman as well), Bruce Wayne hung up his cape and cowl. With Selina gone, he was now the only person their six year old daughter had and he would not see her orphaned the way he had been. Let the Gotham Police handle the criminals. He was done. From that day forward he would concentrate on being Bruce Wayne -- Father, Philanthropist, and CEO of Wayne Enterprises. The Joker escaped, off to lick his wounds in Metropolis or whatever city he choose to wreck havoc on next, but the police did manage to get their hands on Harley Quinn. Sent back to Arkham, she remained there for almost ten years before being declared legally sane and rehabilitated. Now she's back on the streets, supposedly a new person. But then...why is she rounding up some of the Joker's old henchmen. Turns out she is about to declare her own war on the Bat...one that she hopes will bring him out of hiding. Because, you see, she wants to string him up as a welcome home present for her Mr. J who she knows will be coming home anyday. The only problem with her plan is Huntress, Gotham's newest caped crusader. For the past six months she has been working to foil Harley's schemes. Who is she? What's her connection to Batman? And is she really the savior everyone thinks she is? The battle for Gotham is about to begin. forgotham is a different kind of Batman game set in the "Nolanverse" but borrowing from all other Batsources. My hope is that by combining all these elements with a unique plot and placing them in a grittier, less stylized world that it will give the players a new freedom with which to explore their favorite characters. post comment
