Cerisaie Academy: Applications OPEN [11 Jul 2008|11:40am]
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ACCEPTANCE!

You are about to join the ranks of Cerisaie Academy, the most prestigious school in this or any dimension. Whether your goal is to be top mathematician or mage, ninja or diplomat, Cerisaie Academy is the best possible launching point. Our stellar reputation and history of mind-boggling successes makes it impossible for driven students not to choose this school!

You're standing outside the main building, pristine red bricks and giant flower gardens. Maybe you asked to come here, maybe someone sent you, but you're here now: Cerisaie Academy, the most famous all-girls school in all the dimensions. (With a reputation for its large, and largely secret, male population as well.)

Are the rumours true? About the quiet war brewing between the student council and an organization calling itself LARKSPUR. There's been word of pranks, not all of them funny, being pulled on campus and threatening letters sent to the administration and even the students.

If you don't step forward and open the front door, you might never find out the truth...

THE GAME

Cerisaie Academy is a mix of plot- and character-driven play. The day-to-day life of the school, responses to events, and character development all play a role in the larger war that's coming. Your character will be asked to choose sides, while juggling classes, social events, and meeting new people. Think you can handle it? An application is waiting for you.

City Limits: A Slayerverse RPG (open casting) [11 Jul 2008|10:41pm]

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

City Limits is set in Joss Whedon's Slayerverse. Taking place in 2013, its focus is on original characters, rather than those from the television series. City Limits is a spin-off of Birthright, a role-playing game that ran from 2004-2008. City Limits hopes to maintain those high standards of creativity and entertainment quality, while incorporating new characters, a fresh setting, and additional writers. Stretching across Chicago, Illinois, it offers the perfect setting for good writers seeking a quality world where supernaturally-inclined characters can play.

Game Premise

A year has passed since a series of ground-breaking media leaks exposed the U.S. government's knowledge of and involvement in the supernatural underworld. After the initial discovery, there was chaos on a global scale, as other government programs were revealed. The human public reacted in anger and fear, resorting to violence, avoidance, and outright denial. As for the supernatural, some relished the opportunity to exist in the open, while others went into hiding to avoid retribution. To control the situation, strict national curfews were enforced at dusk and military units were deployed to keep the peace. In July of 2013, the chaos has settled, though humans and demons still struggle to adjust.

Along with knowledge of supernatural creatures came a public understanding that mystical convergences, hellmouths, and even portals to other worlds are real.

One such portal exists in Chicago, Illinois.
