Author: yuuo

Summary: Ever since they saw her brother, she'd been waiting.
Ever since they saw her brother, she'd been waiting. Every chance she got, she took over, taking back her life for even a few precious moments.
Dilandau hated it. Hated her, she could tell. He couldn't hide anything from her, and yet he had no idea who she was. She kept it from him, turning cold and distant, refusing to give him anything over her. He already owned her life, her body, she would be damned if she gave him anything else.
She taunted him with her presence, she knew it. It drove him mad, made him slip, made him weak. Broke down the effects of Fate Alteration. Gave her life back to her.
The sorcerers tried to undo the damage she'd caused, thinking it was just a break down in their process, not realizing she was fighting them at every step. She wouldn't let anyone stop her in her mission to take back her life and be reunited with her brother.
Life on the outside was surreal, not quite total, like watching the world through a glass box, Dilandau creeping just over her shoulder. When Allen found out where his sister had been for years, she knew there was nothing he'd be able to do if Dilandau could not be banished from her mind. The only one who could save her was herself.
The harder she screamed and fought after that, the harder Dilandau fought back, determined to not go down quietly. The activation of the Fate Alteration machine weakened him. Jajuka's death shocked him. That was enough.
When she stepped forward and took her life back, it was by her own hand. It was her hand that slayed Dilandau, nobody else's. Her brother had bought her the time, but it was her own doing that gave her life back to her, that let her be reunited with him.
And she would be damned if anyone ever held that kind of power over her again.
