To the person who shares my face and name;

I hate you. That sounds vicious and petty, given I don't know you. But I know I hate you. You have my brother and I don't. I wonder if you even realize what it is you have with him, what a precious gift you have.

Of course you don't. Because you don't know him the way I do. You don't listen or believe his 'fairy tales' when he tries to tell you who he is, where he came from. You're locked in your narrow world view that doesn't allow for a star to fall and live in your midst.

I hate you because of the look my brother gets on his face when you laugh at his stories. I see that look through your eyes and I hate you for putting it there.

Do you realize I watch through your eyes? Sometimes I think you're aware of my presence, watching in my dreams. You get headaches you can't explain. That's me, trying to tell you to believe, to stop putting that look on my brother's face, to take care of him because I can't. My brother, he was always the protector, but there's one thing he needs protecting from and that's himself.

Don't you see the way he shines is dimming with each day he's trapped in your world? Of course you don't. You think he's crazy, don't you? An 'eccentric' that makes up stories to hide from what 'really' happened. What he tells you is what really happened, but you won't believe it.

So to the person who shares my face and name, I hate you. It's petty, cruel and childish of me, but I do. I hate you. Envy's a sin that gets us all, I suppose. But as long as you have my brother and I don't, I hate you
