If Lilly had wanted to be honest about the entire situation, she couldn't say she was shocked over George's stubbornness, and wanting to cross alone. She knew the man better than any of them; knew some of his darkest secrets; knew that the bastard hated physical contact. So, when L went after the other man, Lilly had hissed, "Don't touch him!"
She hoped to hell that L had heard her, and that he would listen; because she had a feeling that if L did touch him, the other man would flinch, and send them both flying into the lava below. But, it was now out of her hands.
She turned to the other three, and listened to suggestion. Cuthbert would take either Morana, or her across; and Rose would take the remaining one. Lilly looked at the dark haired girl, and then looked at Cuthbert. With a bit of careful thought, Lilly made her way over to Cuthbert.
"I think it would be best if we went together," she said to Cuthbert. She turned to face Morana, and asked, "Will you be alright with Rose?"
