As she felt the warm heavy rush of air wash over on entering the arena where their challenge lay, Morana found herself needing to gasp initially for air. The humid environment, not to mention the boiling red river below were not things she was acquainted with, but thought better than to ask silly questions. Instinct told her regardless getting too close to the odd substance was not in her best interest, and considering all she had lived through, her trust in that instinct of survival was unwavering.
She briefly glanced at the group, trying not to dwell on how little she knew any of them. She admitted the loss of people she knew and trusted had caused her to draw back a little into her shell, but considering they would have to work together, such insecurity would have to be put aside. If nothing else, all that spare time had given her time to train and meditate. True her powers were of no use here, but the inner confidence she had been building up would hopefully aid their task. It had come to the point where most of them would not even be aware of how just under two years before she could barely utter two words together without stuttering.
Finally casting her eyes to the rickety bridge, she held back a shudder. The whole structure looked terribly unstable, one wrong step could mean the end for someone, and that was not something she wanted to think about. The question was of course, how to go about getting everyone across.
"Perhaps," she spoke softly but audibly. "we should have...one of the lighter people...test it first." she finished, inhaling deeply, the pauses signs of the still unsteady hiccups in her speech. She knew she might just be the lightest person present in the team, and so was already contemplating the bridge in case she was called up, one arm hugging her own thin waist.
