Who: L and Lilly When: 3rd day of Seven Deadly Sins Day Where: Emptiness Rating: PG-13 Warnings: Fighting. Summary: L and Lilly’s paths cross outside of a bar in Emptiness. With one feeling the effects of Pride and the other Wrath, this cannot turn well.
When the scrolls vanished and the elevator L had been stuck in for the past two days finally started to move again, the detective couldn’t help but feel relieved. He had been worried that if this situation lasted much longer, he would be forced to choose one of the scrolls out of necessity. And there was the possibility it would considering that this occurrence was lasting longer than a single day.
He knew that he could last a while trapped in such a place, but that amount of time depended on a number of factors. L didn’t have water with him which was essential for him to survive. Although Rachel suggested telling her if he needed it, he couldn’t comfortably give away his location, nor could he comfortably ask for help. There was only so long he would be able to go without.
It looked like things were clear now and he had managed to wade out this period of abnormality without giving in. Sure the result was that he was dehydrated and hungry, but the point of the matter was he had gotten away without incident. He could keep a cool head no matter what the situation. Not many people could boast such a thing. Time and time again, these days proved to be of little consequence to him and he had yet to experience much of the ‘fallout’ that Henry had warned him of when he first arrived. And of course he didn’t, he was L! He wasn’t just any normal detective. If he became too concerned with his actions or what he said during these days he would never get anything done.
Free now, L took care of himself by eating and drinking whatever he could find in the cafeteria of the hospital he was staying in. He recharged his laptop as the battery was only moments away from dying, and kept an eye on the comm. system for any new updates. Once he felt a little better he went back to work setting things up on the upper floors which had been what he had initially set out to do before the scrolls appeared.
He set out early that evening, deciding that he should go back out into Emptiness not only to look for more cameras, but to grab a couple more things Alessa needed on her list. He had been able to find some of the items with Rachel’s help a few days ago, but a couple things still remained missing.
