Rachel was relieved that L hadn't said any of those things. He wasn't the one to have shot her, and as far as pain was concerned, Rachel had died before feeling the full effects of that hot bullet going through her head. Once more she stayed silent; that is, until L confessed to her that he had died as well in his world. She wanted to ask him how, but decided not to. If he wanted to say how, he would tell her.
"I used to think that those stories about an afterlife were just myths," Rachel started quietly. "I woke up in some underground area. Found out that the mythological figure, Charon is real. Jophiel came for me soon after I saw him or her."
That out of the way, Rachel felt a bit better, and closed her eyes once more.
