Delighting in these moments of closeness made Rachel realize why she tended to avoid this. In this state of mind she felt weak, and nearly powerless. She didn't believe there was any danger present, but she was secretly glad that when tomorrow came these feelings would be gone. Tonight the feelings were still there, and Rachel did not want to move away from L. She begin to fear that L would grow tired of her, and ask her to leave. When L asked her to stay with him, she felt a sense of relief at the question. Smiling at L, she answered, "Yeah, I'll stay with you tonight."
With that said, the brunette rested her head against L's chest. A few thoughts ran through her head, and she started to wonder about what would happen if Asgard won the trial. Would all of Asgard be given access to heaven? These thoughts swirled through her mind. She knew there was an afterlife, but Jophiel had granted her access to Asgard before the whole purification ritual could begin. Seemingly lost in her own thoughts, Rachel finally blinked, and decided to ask L something.
"Did you ever believe there was life after death?"
