L felt a little disappointed that the kiss had been broken right then. But he understood the reason, and he found that needed to get some air as well. He waited, breathing lightly as he looked down at her, catching the sweet scent of the orange she had eaten earlier that afternoon still lingering on her breath.
He really hadn’t known if he was doing well or not until she had said something. And even then he didn’t quite believe her. “I’ll have to take your word for it,” L said, his lips brushing softly against hers as he spoke.
Then he let go of her and sat up on the bed, deciding to feign a little ignorance of the situation just to see how she would react, “I liked that. Thank you. I will be moving back to the table now.”
