Emerald laughed. "And why aren't you? No, I know you told me." She managed to fill the box with most everything she could see, and began to stand up. "Should I say it was a troubled childhood? Should I say I got pimped when I used to be a vulnerable young woman?" She laughed again and shook her head.
"I can't remember most of my 'childhood' and I was never vulnerable long enough for the bad men to get me." Emerald shrugged. "It just feels good."
There was of course, more to the story. But she'd never told a soul. Emerald opened her mouth as if to say more, but then shut it. That was a story she'd kept hidden at all costs.
