“Pope Gregory the Great once said purgatory was a ‘place of temporal punishment for sin, as even in this life it is a matter of sufferings and trials of all kinds’. With a description like that, it is certainly a very valid theory. ” L set his cup of tea down and began running his finger against his bottom lip in thought. “The trials that we endure here certainly can have quite a range. They do not just include the competition between Asgard and Niflheim, but the altered days and our experience and dealings with one another.”
L picked up the package of rice crispy treats and dumped the box’s contents out on the table, “The intent behind the team’s communication with one another could be a couple of things. For the most part, it looks like our opponents are taking a more psychological approach. It may not be entirely their doing, but Niflheim has a hand in mentally breaking down Asgards team. Attacks can compromise feelings of security, friendliness can cause individuals to doubt their cause, and the unity they seem to have, be it false or not, can lower moral for a team that is as divided on important issues as Asgard is.”
“Our team’s disagreement on important issues and internal problems also do not help either as it could make working together strained or difficult. Some of our team wishes to engage Niflheim aggressively while others wish to remain passive.” He lowered his eyes, “If it remains like this, there could be some problems. As it stands, Niflheim can attack any member of Asgard with little to no known repercussions, and Asgard, or at least some of its members, frowns upon doing the same, or anything that might anger the opposing team.”
