Alessa probably didn't think that Blythe already intuitively understood her fears. While Alessa's case was very unique, her fears weren't abnormal. Most people had the same. Blythe had, at one point. Kain as well. It wasn't something Blythe could ever just say to Alessa, that she just needed to understand that she was more like others than she realized. That wouldn't help much.
She thought about Alessa's question. It was a good one. And she was only going to answer honestly. Sugar-coating love was what led so many people to idolize rather than realize. "To judge is to act on natural instinct. It is our first inclination. We judge so that we can create reasons as to why we shouldn't love someone. Yes, sometimes Kain and I judge one another. But we've been together long enough to know that there is more to one another than that. We know to see past that. To trust instead. We have become very patient with one another."
The oracle hoped Alessa would find someone worthy of her affections (because Sal certainly wasn't). She knew it was a terrifying prospect, letting someone in and risk being judged, but it was, Blythe believed, a risk worth taking.
