By the time that Grimmjow finally circled back toward Niflheim, the afternoon sun had started to bear down in earnest. What breeze had been present earlier that day had died away to almost nothing, and even the clouds seemed loathe to travel too quickly across the sky above. He didn't pay attention to them either way, instead padding silently forward with a fast - but meandering - gait.
He'd decided to not head directly to Bloodmire. Not just yet, anyway. The dead usually preferred to show themselves when it was dark so arriving there too early might spoil his chances at any sort of hunt.
Not keeping to any sort of path, the cat-like Hollow trotted forward between crooked trees. He'd entered a part of the forest that seemed to have been victim of a blight. While large and clearly old, most of the trees still standing had few or no leaves left on their limbs and the ground beneath them was just as barren. It wasn't an unwelcome sight. In many ways, it almost reminded him of the the rare 'forests' of Hueco Mundo. Moreover, somewhere up ahead he sensed something that different - something living. It was a faint pulse of reiatsu. Human. Diverting his course, Grimmjow padded directly toward it to investigate. Only when he neared did he recognize a scent that he'd encountered in Niflheim before.
It was another so-called ally.
Even so - or perhaps because of that fact - the Hollow did not turn away. His footfalls were as quiet as ever, but he made no effort to disguise his approach. He'd yet to meet most of those in Niflheim, but he held no reservations that the rest of the cast was as entertaining company as Yako. Though he could always be proven wrong.
