Quigby nodded sagely when both men spoke, taking in what they had to say very carefully, deeply considering their points of view. They both made very good points: Mitch knew that there was no "all or nothing" when it came to communications, as both extremes could prove dangerous. But Henry's point was also well-established: they were Heaven's team. They were not only representing righteousness and justice, they were also representing fairness and forgiveness and kindness.
"The both of you do not represent two different planes of thought, but two aspects of the very same thought." Quigby stated in his musical British accent as Dorian mulled this information around in his head. "Why, by George, we've known several Niflheimers to be more friend than foe. And others as foes entirely. It begs the question, how much communication is too much? And can we separate friendship from trust when we communicate with them? There is a thin line, I believe, between befriending someone and trusting them. I think it is entirely acceptable to befriend a Niflheimer if their intentions are good. But to trust one, my friends, could put any of us in a vulnerable position. Trust must be earned."
