Henry was pretty glad that Kain had ended up taking charge of this whole thing - there was no doubt in his mind that Kain was good at speaking to people. And...organizing them like this. And now they finally were getting organized.
Or so he hoped.
The very first question on the table was one that made him shift a bit uncomfortable. It wasn't like it was a secret that there was conversations over the line. But....
"It's...in a way, this whole thing is set up really badly," Henry said, folding his arms. "We...have this way to communicate with the other side. One of the reasons that soldiers can fight and kill in war is because the other side is just a...a faceless mass." He took a deep breath, hoping what he was saying was making sense.
"Our enemies aren't a nameless mass. We know their names, and we know...things about them. And we know that some of them...probably aren't bad people. And I think...it'd be impossible to honestly have people cut all ties."
And then they'd have even worse issues of trust, because then it would be going on behind their backs.
