Second Trial, Sixth Match Who: Metatron, Lucifer, Sandalphon, Kain and Schroedinger When: 12 PM, June 8th Where: A mysterious arena far from the usually travelled regions in the realm. Rating: PG, may go up. Warnings: Fighting. Summary: Lucifer and Metatron send their representatives on their way. The walk is hazy and disjointed, as if the path to the place refuses to be remembered. Upon their arrival, they know a battle is to take place. Kain vs. Schro!
The arena was surrounded by grass and trees. Mountains weren't very far away, though they were blurred slightly by the rain. The arena was a massive slab of stone with a thousand strange engravings and symbols on it. Grass simply stopped growing an inch away from the stone as if nature was not permitted to get closer. Rain didn't touch the slab. A bird flew around the arena instead of over it. Something about it almost felt like Emptiness. Was it, too, frozen and pristine in one eternal moment?
Metatron waited as Lucifer stepped forward and reached his hand out towards the arena. His fingers met something invisible and solid. Veins of dark mist seemed to show in his hand, darker and darker until they shot out to encircle the arena in unreadable symbols that oozed slightly, like blood. They faded quickly, leaving only a faint, thin oozing line of symbols at waist height. Unlike Metatron's ring of circles, this one looked a lot more foreboding. However, the participants of the trial would be able to pass through it as if it wasn't there. The arena was ready.
Metatron seemed unaffected by the words the two leaders had quietly shared as he smiled and welcomed the participants. "Welcome to the arena, participants of the second trial. I would wish you luck, but I have heard from Alessa that it's considered an omen. I am not here to explain the rules...Sandalphon will be the judge and jury of this match. Lucifer and I are here to watch over you and take you home at the end. Deus vel Diabolus, fortuna mos sumo, permissum verus rector orior oriri ortus ingravesco primoris quod denique sator. Permissum nemo exsisto vulnero proprius, quod haud animus occisor."
"This is a trial of strength, so remember to fight to win. Lose and you might suffer for it," Lucifer noted. It was unlikely that Metatron would punish someone for losing, but Lucifer? Lucifer could with ease. "Deus vel Diabolus, chaos mos sumo, permissum Diabolus lucror quod incompositus exsisto ut morbus mos emanio quod torqueo interficio nos totus." The echoing latin words had been said once before, at the opening ceremony of the first trial.
[ooc: The latin spoken by Metatron roughly translates to "God or Satan, fate will decide, allow the true leader to rise and become the first and last creator. Let no one be marred permanently, and no soul murdered." The latin spoken by Lucifer roughly translates to "God or Satan, chaos will choose, let Satan win and disorder be unleashed so that disease will spread and torment murder us all." Please forgive my rough, terrible Latin.]
