Jared's help paid off big time since all Mitch could focus on was finding Kamina under that awful pile of smothering earth. 'He has to be alive, he has to be.' He almost tore up his hands and overreached his muscles trying to dig out the buried Asgardian as fast as Mitch could. Leaving a single one of his friends behind was just not an option he was willing to consider at the moment, even if the opportunity to help would be absolutely minimal. That thing that was trying its damnedest to kill them wouldn't be down for long...
Then the strange light began to shine from Kamina's would-be resting place, and the firestarter nearly didn't catch the hint in time as the rocks began to move. But when those rocks shot passed him, Mitch backpedaled his butt nearly half-way back to Jared.
When Mitch got a chance to catch his breath and get a good look at Kamina's machine, the young man murmured in complete awe: "Whoooooooa." The surprise ignited a brief flash of temper, however: "It woulda been nice to know 'bout your trump card a lil' earlier, Kamina!!!"
A pleased grin burst on Mitch's face nevertheless as relief washed over him, renewing his energy for the fight.
