When Alessa disappeared, Brandy wasn't at all surprised. She blinked away the last of her tears, sobering up immediately. Absolutely positive that no one was nearby, Brandy turned around and sauntered back upstairs, whistling, 'If I Only Had A Brain' in a very cheery manner. It would be a lie to say she didn't thoroughly enjoy the nauseated, horrified expression on Alessa's face. But it would be a lie to say that encounter was painless.
As the others were out putting out the fire, Brandy - or Sal, rather - came into consciousness of her own inner crisis. When she reached the bathroom, she finally spotted her reflection in the mirror - red hair mussed, blue eyes shining, her cheeks red from the crying. Something hit her, knocked the wind out of her, in such a powerful way that the pain in her was almost physical.

She reared back and swung, her right fist smashing into the mirror, causing the glass to ripple outwardly from her knuckles, shards and speckles of blood flying everywhere. And Sal laughed.
