It only took a split second for Jared to realize that Raziel did not recognize him, nor would he have any excuse to. Jared was perhaps the least sociable marble form, and he was quite comfortable only being used when absolutely necessary. And this counted as such.
The angel's encouragement only fueled his own enthusiasm, and where he once had nothing but a dark outlook for this garden, his hopes were raised as he could see a change in the diminishing amount of fire. He could feel beads of sweat running down his face and neck, and he remembered, for a moment, that this was what it felt like to be alive.
"The fire is almost gone here!" He yelled over to Raziel, who seemed to have his portion of the blaze under control. "Where else am I needed, friend!?"
